Weekend Events RSVP Registry

We are so excited that you can join us for our intimate wedding ceremony. We have rented two beach houses in Oceanside Oregon, near Cape Lookout State Park where we are getting married. We will send you an email telling you what your house assignments are. These houses are rented from 4:00pm on Friday July 17th until 11:00am on Sunday July 19th.

The rental cost for the weekend is $70 per person. You can send us a check in advance or give it to us the weekend of the wedding, whatever works best for you!

We encourage you to take advantage of the entire time we have the houses. Vanessa will be at the houses starting Friday and Dan will join Saturday morning so he can have his bachelor party in Portland on Friday.

On Friday July 17th, there will be a BBQ at one of the houses to kick-off the weekend festivities.

On Saturday July 18th, Vanessa’s dad Tom is setting up golf for any of the guys that want to play. If golf isn’t your cup of tea, there will be plenty of hanging out on the beach and eating and drinking at the house. Bring a swimsuit if you want to brave the Pacific Ocean!

On Sunday July 19th, we will separate in the morning to have the guys get ready in one house and the ladies get ready in another. Our photographer will come at about 10:00am to take pictures of the groups getting ready.

Our ceremony will start at noon at the day use section of Cape Lookout State Park. There will be chairs for everyone and the area is grass, however, be prepared for the beach which is just steps away from the ceremony location. We suggest casual-formal wear and because of the terrain, no heels. We are crossing our fingers for nice weather but bring an umbrella and coat with you for the weekend just in case. After the ceremony, there will be a quick champagne toast and then our photographer will take group shots of everyone and some of just the two of us.

Please remember that you will need to check out of the houses before the ceremony.

The reception starts at 6:00pm in Portland so you will have time to make the hour and a half drive back to the city and check in to whatever hotel you choose for Sunday nite (we do not have anything reserved but see the “Portland” section for our suggestions on where to stay.)
